Albany Leadership is very grateful to the CAP COM Cares Foundation for naming us as one of their Infrastructure Initiative Grant Recipients. Albany Leadership is very excited as we have begun to enroll for our new 6th grade and to begin the process of creating a 6th through 12th-grade continuum within our school. The goal of this continuum is to provide quality college-prep education to young women across the Capital Region. With the support of the CAP COM Cares Foundation, Albany Leadership was awarded $5,000 that will be able to provide the incoming 6th-grade students with 1:1 technology and their teachers with interactive smart boards so students can have the advantage of learning with competitive technology.
The CAP COM Cares Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the CAP COM Federal Credit Union. The Infrastructure Initiative program formalizes the CAP COM Cares Foundation’s commitment to being a strong community partner and support projects that nonprofits often find difficult to fund. These projects are vital for organizations to serve their constituents but can be delayed or unaddressed from a lack of resources.
Albany Leadership administrators were honored guests at a press conference for the CAP COM Cares Foundation and we are grateful to receive this amazing award and to be recognized among other well-deserving non-profit organizations within the Capital Region.
